Welcome to the Bonnie Church of God Youth Homepage!

The Bonnie Church of God Youth is a group of young people from The Bonnie Church of God who meet for bible studies, devotions, games, and other special events. The group has weekly services on most Saturday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Their meetings consist of various things, such as devotions, group games, pizza parties, basketball games, scavenger hunts, laser tag, skating, make-your-own-movie nights, and even games such as pool, air hockey, and foosball.  Most of the weekly meetings are held at The Rock. The group also does service activities like trash pickups, child sponsorships, senior citizen outreach, and more.

The Rock is a house owned and operated by the Bonnie Church of God as a community outreach to area teens.  The Youth Group at BCOG has chosen to convert the house into a place where teens can come and have some good clean fun in a positive environment.  The Rock has a pool table, air hockey, foosball, darts, pinball, video games, movies, board games, food and more!  The Rock is located at 240 W. 3rd Street in Bonnie, IL, and is open on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00.  The BCOG Youth also hold many of their Saturday evening meetings at the house.

While we will not push religious beliefs on anyone, we believe that the atmosphere of positive Christian values will be apparent to those who come to The Rock.  We plan to provide an atmosphere free of bad influences that today’s society might offer.  Our goal is to be a positive influence on the teens in order to reach the next generation based on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ.  We like to call it “Reaching Others for Christ’s Kingdom,” or ROCK.

When we consider a rock, we think of something solid and safe.  That’s what we intend to provide for the teens who attend.  We want to show teens that their generation can have a good time without getting involved in drugs, alcohol, profanity, and violence, which seem to be so prevalent in their generation.

The chaperones and workers at The Rock are all volunteers who attend Bonnie Church of God.  Any money collected during the operation of The Rock (from sodas, pizza, and other concessions) will be used to cover operating expenses such as utilities, food or improvements.  The Rock is not a fundraiser for the Bonnie Church of God Youth; it is a ministry project.

So if you’re looking for a positive place for teens to have some good clean fun, come to THE ROCK!

Silent Witness Mime Team

Several of our youth at Bonnie Church of God, as well as youth from a couple area churches, are involved in a mime team. They minister by acting out songs with a gospel message. They never have to say a word, only act out the messages in the songs they perform. It a powerful ministry and will speak to your heart.
